Jim Carrey is returning to the spotlight just months after his girlfriend‘s tragic death.

This weekend at the Golden Globes, the 53-year-old actor will make his first red carpet appearance since his late love, Cathriona White, reportedly committed suicide at age 30 last September.

According to Us Weekly, Jim will serve as a presenter during the annual awards ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 10. Kate Hudson, Kurt Russell and Mel Gibson are also expected to present the night’s honors.

After Cathriona’s death, The Truman Show star released the following statement to the media: “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
