After rumors circulated about a possible “Seinfeld” reunion when series stars Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander were spotted outside the sitcom’s famed Tom’s Restaurant earlier this month, co-creator Jerry Seinfeld has finally confirmed a reunion...of sorts.
"It's a secret project," the actor said during a recent interview. And according to the comedian, fans won’t have to wait long for it!
The star, who headlined the hit show for nine season, revealed that the reunion will happen “very, very soon” but refused to give away much else, even when pestered by his interviewers!
Series’ co-creator Larry David was also seen hanging around Tom’s, but Seinfeld shared that although David is involved in the project, he won’t be appearing on camera.
And to dispel various reports, the 59-year-old confirms that the filming wasn’t for a Super Bowl commercial.
Seinfeld also revealed that other locations besides the restaurant were shot, so other fan-favorite hangouts could definitely appear in the project!
But don’t expect these get-togethers to become a common occurrence! Seinfeld insists this is a “one and done” kind of thing.
