In many divorces, the main question or concern is for the children but in Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux‘s case, it is all about their four-legged babies. In Touch recently revealed the details of Jennifer and Justin’s custody agreement for their dogs. Between them, the exes have four dogs: Dolly, a white shepherd mix, Clyde, a terrier, and Sophie, a pit bull mix, in LA, while Justin keeps another pit bull in NYC.

“They’ve always referred to them as their children, and it looks like Jen will keep the LA dogs with her and Justin will keep the pit bull in NYC. But it was the biggest bone of contention in the split,” a source revealed.

Another friend added that Justin won’t have to say goodbye forever. “They’ve made an arrangement for visitation,” the insider added. Life & Style was the first outlet to report Jen and Justin’s separation in a cover story that hit newsstands on Wednesday, Feb. 14, one day before the pair announced their split in a joint statement.

“Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly,” their message read. “Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.”

Just four days after her birthday on Feb. 11, they announced the separation publicly. The insider explained Jen saw the signs coming and revealed, “They were apart for a solid month before her birthday and it was pretty much radio silence between them. When they hung up, she felt like he’d already checked out of their relationship.” Though he did end up visiting, it felt “obligatory, and he’s just been doing through the motions. The marriage is all but over.”
