Jamie-Lynn Sigler Returns to Work for First Time Since Revealing Multiple Sclerosis Diagnosis
She’s back!
Jamie-Lynn Sigler has returned to work for the first time since bravely revealing she’s been battling multiple sclerosis the past 15 years to film a new guest-star spot on the Freeform comedy Baby Daddy.
“It’s been overwhelming in a good way. Everything that I feared about [disclosing my illness to the public] has not happened. The complete opposite happened. I’ve been working consistently since, which is crazy,” the 34-year-old actress said in a new interview.
Jamie-Lynn on Jan. 9.
“[My body is] sort of like a gas tank,” she continued. “You have your amount of energy for the day, and you just sort of allocate and use it where you’re going to need it.”
Jamie-Lynn — who married her longtime love, Cutter Dykstra, in January — previously debated revealing her diagnosis because she feared people would underestimate her employment capabilities. But, the actress confessed her two-year-old son, Beau, ultimately helped her overcome that fear.
“He’s coming towards an age where he’ll be aware,” Jamie-Lynn said. “We’ll have to have a conversation, and I don’t want him to think that I had to hold anything back.”
