James Marsden Steps out With His Lookalike Son at the 2017 SAG Awards

Did you know James Marsden has a son? Let alone one that looks exactly like him?

Fans were shocked when the 43-year-old actor stepped out with his very rarely-seen 15-year-old boy, Jack, at the 2017 SAG Awards on Sunday, Jan. 29. Many followers didn’t even realize James himself was over age 30!

“Finding out James Marsden has a 15-year-old son just ruined my night,” one user wrote on Twitter.

“How does James Marsden have a 15-year-old son? I thought he was like 29. #ThoseGenes,” another user commented.

“Anyone else perplexed as to how James Marsden’s son looks older than him? Some real Benjamin Button stuff right there. That jawline tho!” one fan hilariously wrote on Twitter.

James gushed about his date for the night during their red carpet debut. “He’s a great kid, he doesn’t need much advice, I go to him for advice,” he said of Jack, who has a face so similar to his famous father’s despite his bleach blonde locks.

He did, however, give his aspiring musician son a few words of wisdom before heading into the award show. “Stay true to your heart and respect others regardless of what business you’re in, be a decent human being,” James said to his eldest child.

James — who keeps his personal life fairly private — welcomed his son in February 2001 with his ex-wife, Lisa Linde, whom he was married to from 2000 until 2011. The Notebook star and Lisa also have an 11-year-old daughter together named Mary, who was born in August 2005. James is additionally a dad to a four-year-old son named William, whom he welcomed with Rosa Costa in December 2012. If one thing’s for sure, it’s James is one handsome dad!
