'National Lampoon's Vacation' stars Chevy Chase, 71, and Beverly D'Angelo, 63, will reunite to appear in a new ABC comedy pilot titled 'Chev & Bev,' according to a new report.

On the new show, the duo — who additionally starred together in three 'Vacation' sequels — will play a married couple who are suddenly left to raise their grandchildren.

The project will be the first time Chevy has returned to primetime TV since his highly publicized exit from 'Community' in 2012. Beverly's most recent television run was from 2005 – 2011 on the hit HBO show 'Entourage,' though she has since appeared in several TV movies and on an episode of 'Friends with Better Lives.'

Chevy and Beverly are currently filming the fifth installment of the 'National Lampoon's Vacation' series, which is due to hit theaters in October 2015. The new movie, simply titled 'Vacation,' follows a grown-up Rusty Griswold (played by Ed Helms) as he prepares to take his own family on a trip. The movie also stars Leslie Mann, Christina Applegate, Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day.
