The news of Ina's new book comes just three months after the Barefoot Contessa star released Cooking for Jeffrey: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook in October 2016. Ina married her husband, Jeffrey Garten, in December 1968.
If the Food Network host is indeed working on a new cookbook, it would be her eleventh publication! Her other recipe books include: The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook (1999), Barefoot Contessa Parties! Ideas and Recipes For Easy Parties That Are Really Fun (2001), Barefoot Contessa Family Style: Easy Ideas and Recipes That Make Everyone Feel Like Family (2002), and Barefoot in Paris: Easy French Food You Can Make at Home (2004).

When asked in a previous interview where she finds inspiration for her recipes, Ina replied, "everywhere!"
"It comes from a remembered flavor — something that I had as a child. It comes from a friend. My friend Sarah Chase is an incredible cook and tremendous inspiration for me. She also writes cookbooks," she once told Epicurious.

"It comes from something I ate in Milan or — I think you don't get ideas by sitting at home and talking to yourself. I think you get ideas by getting out there. It comes from everywhere," Ina continued. "It rarely comes from restaurants because restaurant food is a whole different category. It usually comes from something I ate at somebody's house or a specialty food store or something like that."
