Former Playboy model Pamela Anderson stunned guests during a reception at the Cannes Film Festival when she opened up about her childhood traumas, including molestation and rape at a young age.
The blonde bombshell appeared at a yacht party to launch her self-titled foundation — devoted to helping the environment and advocating for human and animal rights. It was then she explained her love of nature and animals began in the midst of suffering devastating abuse.
"I did not have an easy childhood. Despite loving parents, I was molested from age 6 to 10 by my female babysitter," the Baywatch star revealed during her speech.

"I went to a friend's boyfriend's house, and when she was busy, the boyfriend's older brother decided he would teach me backgammon which led in to a back massage, which led in to rape," the actress continued. "My first heterosexual experience. He was 25 years old, I was 12."
Though the now 46-year-old was visibly nervous during her remarks, according to the AP, she continued to detail the horrors of past sexual experiences.
"My first boyfriend in grade nine decided it would be funny to gang rape me with six of his friends. Needless to say I had a hard time trusting humans and I just wanted off this earth."
Pamela shared that although her parents tried to "keep me safe," her father had a severe drinking problem and her mother was consumed by two waitressing jobs plus her husband's alcoholism.
"I couldn't bear to give her more disruptive information so I couldn't break her heart any more than it was breaking," said Pamela.
It was during this time of suffering the model turned to nature to escape from her scary world. "My affinity with animals saved me, they came to me naturally. The trees spoke to me...My loyalty remains with the animal kingdom. I vowed to protect them and only them," she shared.
Animals were "my only real friends until I had children. Then I realized humanity was suffering and our children were born perfect," she explained of her duel activism for both animal and human rights.
