After 31 years of marriage, TV producer Norman Lear, and his wife, Lyn, are still completely head over heels for each other, and the pair revealed why that still is after all this time.

“He’s the last of the real romantics,” Lyn, 72, exclusively told Closer Weekly at the Producers Guild Awards on January 19 in Los Angeles. “Every morning, he wants to have a kiss when I wake up. It’s a nice way to start the day.” And Norman, 96, feels the very same way when it comes to his wife. “I love the way she loves me,” he said. “I’m just one selfish cat!”

Norman is, of course, known for his legendary producing career, which includes working on classic shows like The JeffersonsAll in the FamilySanford and SonGood Times and One Day at a Time, the latter of which stars Rita Moreno of West Side Story fame. But while he’s always been busy in Hollywood, Norman has admitted that he’s all about his family, revealing that for him and Lyn, it is their kids — Benjamin, Brianna and Madeline — who bring them the most happiness.

“I think my wife and me have done a really good job,” he said. And while the pair was more than happy to share what makes their marriage work, Kevin Bacon wasn’t as eager to reveal just how he’s made his marriage to Kyra Sedgwick a long and happy one in a recent interview.

“There is no secret,” the 60-year-old actor told Fox News during the Showtime portion of the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Los Angeles on January 31. “In fact, I’ve often had a couple of different one-liners for that answer, and then I decided that really the answer is I’m not going to answer it because the last thing I want to do is come up with some quote that is going to summarize a 30-year relationship you know?” The Hollow Man star added, “It’s disrespectful to the relationship. So I don’t really know.”
