TODAY's Hoda Kotb opened up to Closer Weekly about her personal life and moving on from her 2007 divorce — even revealing that her dating life just keeps getting better!

In the new issue, Hoda explains that dating is “much better now” than in your 20s or 30s, “because you know who you are and what you want!”

At 49-years-old, Hoda explains, “I think that when you’re older, you say what’s on your mind. You’re much more open than when you’re younger,” adding that although she’s still a people-pleaser, that feeling diminishes as time goes on.

“You’re not as much a pleaser, although, I still kind of am, but you know, you’re not as much as you used to be,” Hoda tells Closer. “I’m knocking on the door of 50. I feel just really invigorated.”

So what’s her word of advice for women dating at her age? “I think it’s always good to go out on the first date, no matter what,” she shares.

“I’ve always been an advocate of going out and exploring, even if you’re tired, you don’t want to put your shoes on, you’re not in the mood to go. Go!”
