Getting royal advice from Helen Mirren may be the next best thing after Queen Elizabeth herself — she took home an Oscar for her portrayal of the British monarch in The Queen back in 2007, after all! And royal-to-be Meghan Markle probably wants all the advice she can get. But according to the 72-year-old, Meghan doesn’t need any help at all!

“I don’t think she needs any advice,” Helen revealed to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, Feb. 1. “I have to say, she’s been so charming and so dignified in the right sort of way, in a natural kind of way. I think she’s a really wonderful addition to the royal family, and she’s very beloved already in England.” Talk about high praise!

With Meghan and Prince Harry‘s highly-anticipated royal wedding coming up in just a few months, Meghan is on her way to officially becoming royalty. Although Helen thinks she’s pretty much ready for it, Meghan’s reportedly taking advice from soon-to-be sister-in-law Kate Middleton. “I’m sure Kate will do all she can to help Meghan,” an insider from the Duchess’ Bucklebury, England hometown recently told People. That’s perfect for Meghan since Kate learned from the best! “She had audiences with Queen Elizabeth quite often and was taught to behave like a future Queen,” the source continued.

While Meghan is doing a good job of honoring royal tradition, both she and Harry are making sure they’re still staying true to their own personal preferences when it comes to their wedding, according to a report. “With the wedding, they both want to do things their way,” a source close to the couple revealed to Us Weekly. “While they will always be mindful of traditions, the day is ultimately about them and what they want to do.” And the two are apparently already straying from tradition with their wedding cake! The Telegraph has reported that the lovebirds chose a banana-flavored cake because Harry loves “anything with banana.” That’s definitely different from the traditional fruit cake that is typically served at royal weddings!
