RIPHelen Hunt’s Father Gordon Hunt Has Sadly Died at Age 87

Rest in peace, Gordon Hunt.

The TV director and Helen Hunt‘s father sadly died from a long battle with Parkinson’s disease on Saturday, Dec. 17, the actress recently confirmed to Entertainment Tonight. He was 87-years-old.

“Gordon was a master of reinvention. A journeyman artist,” Helen, 53, said in a statement to the news outlet on Tuesday, Dec. 20. “He knew and taught that the work doesn’t always find you. You need to create and recreate the work every day.”

Gordon is survived by his wife of 21 years, B.J. Ward, his two daughters, Helen and Colleen, his two brothers, George and Peter, as well as his three grandchildren, Makena, Emmett, and Lizzie. It’s clear the Hunt family has a strong bond considering Helen’s daughter, Makena, recently got her famous mom’s face tattooed on her arm.
