Acrobat Michelle Arvin posed for hers at eight months pregnant...while hanging upside down!
The aerial performer, instructor and managing partner at Circus Warehouse, a New York training facility for circus stars, enlisted photographer Rachael Shane to take the high-flying pictures last month.
Michelle reveals she has been able to keep up her training throughout the pregnancy.
“I was definitely hopeful that I would be able to and I’m grateful that I have been able to. I’ve been really lucky,” Michelle tells TODAY parents.
The 39-year-old shares she's been pleasantly surprised by the capabilities of her pregnant body. Balance wasn't as bad as she expected and hanging upside down didn't make her feel queasy.
“Obviously, my partners had to do a little bit more heavy lifting," Michelle admits, "[But] I like to think that I was helping everyone get stronger.”
Her prenatal activities have been anything but normal and Michelle is also planning an unconventional home birth with the assistance of midwives.
“Everybody’s really excited about the newest acrobat at Circus Warehouse,” she says.
