Harry Connick Jr.‘s eldest daughter, Georgia, was reportedly arrested over the weekend after providing minors with alcohol during a party at her family’s Connecticut home.

“This is a private matter which we are dealing with as a family,” Harry, 47, told People in a statement on Tuesday. “We have no further comments. Thank you for understanding.”

According to NBC, Georgia, 19, has been charged with permitting minors to possess alcohol and procuring alcohol for minors.

The American Idol judge and his 51-year-old wife, former Victoria’s Secret model Jill Goodacre — who are also parents to daughters Sarah, 17, and Charlotte, 13 — were reportedly not home at the time of the party.

When police arrived at the Connick’s house in the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 16, they saw underage partygoers running from the house into nearby woods, where officers subsequently found several empty beer cans. Georgia — who is due to appear in court on Sept. 2 — told police officers she planned to host a small get-together and did not expect it to turn into a large party.
