Halle Berry Vows to Have “No More Boyfriends” After Her Third Failed Marriage

Six months after her third divorce, Halle Berry is poking fun at herself!

The 50-year-old took to Instagram over Memorial Day weekend to show off her new shirt, a distressed white tee with the words “No More Boyfriends” emblazoned on the front — which is a quote from a self help book by poet Mike E. Reid titled The Boyfriend Book.

“Summer’s coming… let’s shine up our crowns ladies!” she wrote in the caption.

Last February, the actress opened up about her three divorces during a Q&A panel — and confessed she often feels “guilty and responsible” for the splits.

“I have learned to deal with three failed marriages, which has not been easy, especially when there’s children involved,” Halle said at the time, Us Weekly reported.

“[As] women, we go into marriage thinking it’s going to last forever and that this is our prince on a shiny horse. That’s what fairy tales taught me as a kid… and I’m kind of anti–fairy tales today,” she continued.

“When [your relationship] falls apart it feels like a huge failure and a huge disappointment,” Halle added. “I’ve often felt guilty and responsible. I’ve suffered a lot of pain and anguish.”

The Monster’s Ball star was most recently hitched to actor Olivier Martinez. The couple — who share a three-year-old son, Maceo Robert Martinez — tied the knot in July 2013 and finalized their divorce in December 2016 after three years of marriage.

Halle was additionally married to baseball player David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and to singer Eric Benét from 2001 until 2005. She was additionally in a long-term relationship with model Gabriel Aubry — with whom she has an eight-year-old daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry — from 2005 to 2010.

“In every one of those [breakups], as hard — and sometimes embarrassing — as it was, I learned so much about myself. All of those relationships were necessary for me,” Halle said of her past loves. “We all come here with lessons that we have to learn, and those relationships provided me with lessons that got me to where I am right now. For that, I’m grateful. But it has been hard. It’s been a difficult part of my life.”

Today, Halle is looking on the bright side — and admits her two children are her top priority. “Right now, being a mom is my most important job, and I now know that everything I do, everything I say and everything I offer them is really important,” she said.

“I say lots of things, but I think what’s more important is that my children watch what I do. I’m more mindful of how I live my life and what they see me do,” Halle added.
