Goldie Hawn and her daughter, Kate Hudson, looked and laughed like sisters at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London. As Kate, who was being awarded Entrepreneur of the Year at the June 2 event, was getting photographed, the veteran actress smiled proudly and stood at the ready in case the train of Kate’s glamorous dress needed adjusting.
A reporter suggested that Goldie taught Kate everything she knows, but she was characteristically humble. “We learn from each other,” Goldie said. “We have a lot to share as woman to woman.”

While Goldie, 69, probably wouldn’t go so far as to call herself retired from Hollywood, these days, the actress is committed to being available to her adult children, Kate, 36, Oliver Hudson, 38, Wyatt Russell, 28, and Boston Russell, 35, her stepson from longtime partner Kurt Russell’s first marriage.
In a recent interview with Porter magazine, Goldie calls herself and Kurt “two pillars holding up the house and the roof” of their family, which is “what we care about.”

To say that the Hawn-Russell family is close is an understatement. During the summer months, Goldie, Kurt, their children and their five grandchildren frequently gather at the couple’s weekend beach house in Malibu, where the grandkids call her “Go-Go.” Kate tells Closer, “She is just the most loving and energetic grandmother. The kids feed on that and love it!”
