Giuliana Rancic knows firsthand what it's like to battle cancer.
So it's no surprise the E! News host, 40, was on hand to give two-time cancer survivor Charley a very special haircut while appearing on Wednesday’s episode of 'The Rachael Ray Show.'

Charley, 59, has been growing out her hair for nearly ten years since she lost all of it while undergoing chemotherapy in 2005. She previously battled uterine cancer at just 23-years-old.
Though Charley said cutting 45 inches off was emotionally "devastating," she was excited to receive her first haircut in almost a decade from fellow cancer survivor Giuliana.
"People know me by my long hair; it's a trademark," Charley said to Giuliana and Rachael Ray. "I couldn't face the world without my hair. My crowning glory was gone; my self-esteem was gone; my confidence was gone. I lost more than just my hair when I lost my hair."

After pulling Charley's tresses back into a ponytail, Giuliana snipped off 45 inches of hair — which extended all the way down to her thighs — and then handed the scissors over to a team of hairstylists who helped transform Charley's locks into a chic, chin-length bob.
Charley later stepped back onstage for the big reveal and let out a surprised gasp when she saw herself in the mirror!
"This is reminiscent of my thirties, and I'd like to go back there," Charley said of the new 'do with a smile.
