George Clooney's fiancée, Amal Alamuddin, was spotted visiting the headquarters of Alexander McQueen — the design house behind Kate Middleton's iconic wedding dress — on Sept. 4 with mother Barria, sparking rumors that creative director Sarah Burton is creating the 36-year-old's bridal gown.
The human-rights lawyer spent two hours at the London showroom, only increasing speculation, though some insiders still think she'll pick a designer from her native Lebanon (Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad are two of the names being thrown around).
Though founder Alexander McQueen committed suicide in 2010, Burton cemented her status as a leading couturier with Duchess Kate's satin and lace gown for the royal wedding on Apr. 29, 2011.
Before Amal and her mom stopped by the headquarters, they visited Michael John Hair Salon for a little bit of pampering.
The pair are set to wed this month in Italy near George's Lake Como estate. A confidant close to the couple previously told Closer, “Those expected to be on the guest list include Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Sandra Bullock, Bono, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, and perhaps even Barack and Michelle Obama."
While it's been suggested newlywed Brad could serve as George's best man, insiders tell us they believe he'll go with either his producing partner Grant Heslov or a close friend like Rande.
Although the duo have done their best to keep their relationship out of the public eye, George couldn't help but admit to Variety magazine, "I'm marrying up."
