George Clooney's Ocean's Eleven co-star Elliott Gould is thrilled over the actor's engagement to human-rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, but he's already anxious for the 53-year-old to take on another role: father!

At the L.A. premiere of the Showtime series, Ray Donovan, Elliott admitted of his friend, "I want him to have some children already!"

And the actor thinks George will have no problem stepping into fatherhood when the time comes. "He's got a good role model as a father — Nick is great," the Oscar nominee, who has three children of his own, raved of George's dad.

While Elliott complimented The Monuments Men star on his "big heart," he also knows the Hollywood hunk is a bit preoccupied at the moment.

"I want George to take the next step, but let's worry about him getting married first!" the 75-year-old added.

Though a little pressure on George and Amal — whom Elliott called "a beautiful woman and very smart" — doesn't hurt!

"It would be very meaningful for those of us who love George to help pull the wagon," he told People magazine of the couple's potential offspring.
