Actor Paul Walker, best known for his role in the "Fast & Furious" films has died in a car crash, reports TMZ. The actor was 40.
Walker reportedly passed Saturday afternoon in a fiery single-car accident in Southern California. Sources at the scene say that the actor and another person in the vehicle were killed when the porsche, belonging to Walker, lost control and slammed into a post or tree. It is unclear who was driving at the time of the accident.
A rep for the actor confirmed to TMZ that he was in Santa Clarita for a car show to support the Philippines typhoon relief effort. Walker rose to fame in 2001 playing Brian O'Connor in "The Fast & Furious," and reprised the role in six more films. He was in the process of shooting the seventh.
The actor never married, but has a 15-year-old daughter Meadow from a previous relationship.
