'ER' Star Kellie Martin is Pregnant with Baby No. 2 - Closer Weekly

Congratulations, Kellie Martin!

The 39-year-old actress is pregnant with her second baby with her husband of 16 years, Keith Christian, Kellie announced on Hallmark Channel’s hit daytime talk show Home & Family on Thursday, Sept. 24.

“Sit down, this is shocking… I am having a baby!” the former ER star told the audience.

“I am five months, which turns out as 20 weeks. I said that to my husband the other day, ‘I’m 20 weeks… I’m five months pregnant!’ He’s like, ‘You just realized that?’ I’m like, ‘I did the math.’ I’m an actress so sometimes we don’t do the math,” she joked.

Kellie and Keith — who married in May 1999 — are already parents to an eight-year-old daughter, Maggie. “She took the news really, really well. I told her way earlier than I expected to because I was so sick that I didn’t want her to think there was something wrong with Mommy,” Kellie, who is due in February, said of telling Maggie about her pregnancy.

“We sat her down and we said, ‘You are going to be a big sister,’ and it was kind of silent for a second. Just the week before, she said, ‘I love being an only child!’ So I was like, ‘Oh no!’” the actress continued.

Thankfully, Maggie couldn’t be more excited to welcome another baby into the family. “I picked out a few of my stuffed animals and I thought she might really like them,” she said on Home & Family.
