This Disney sequel — set in Depression-era London — will reportedly draw inspiration from the remaining six books of P.L. Travers’ 1934 to 1988 children’s book series. The original Mary Poppins film, which famously starred Julie Andrews in the lead role, was inspired by the author's first book.

Julie, 81, was just 30-years-old when she landed the role of magical nanny Mary Poppins and later won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance. She has since starred in many other films — including The Sound of Music, The Princess Diaries, Despicable Me and Shrek Forever After — and was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.
