Things are about to become a little different on Dancing With the Stars. Fans of the hit show have been dying to know when the next DWTS season will air. And when it comes to Season 26, we’re not entirely sure.

During the Season 25 finale in late November, hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews revealed the newest season will consist of all athletes (don’t worry, they’ll still be back to host). That’s right — all those sitcom stars, reality show contestants, and more won’t be in the ballroom when the show eventually returns.

ABC’s decision doesn’t come as a huge surprise. The show has had 25 winners in the past, and 10 of them have been athletes. If you can recall, Hélio Castroneves, Laurie Hernandez, Meryl Davis, Rashad Jennings, Shawn Johnson, Apolo Anton Ohno, Kristi Yamaguchi, Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward, and Donald Driver have all taken home the Mirror Ball Trophy before.

In a recent exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, pro dancer Tony Dovolani hinted that there won’t be a spring show this year, which would mean we’d have to wait until the fall for more DWTS! When asked if he’d ever return to the show, he replied, “[I don’t think there’s a] spring show, and if they do it once a year it might be a possibility. For me, it was very difficult having three kids, for me to be away six months a year. If that ends up happening, and they are interested in me going back, I would be more than happy to do it.”

Viewers of the long-running series are still confused, though. Days before the finale last year, Tom tweeted, “Season 26 of @DancingABC will be next fall. The four-week mini-season in the spring is a bite-size, spray tanned spin-off.” Is he referring to the rumored Dancing With the Stars Jr.? Or this all-athlete season? We’ll have to wait and see!
