Donny Osmond is gearing up to go under the knife to fix a vocal chord injury.
The 57-year-old actor and singer will undergo vocal chord surgery "in the near future," his rep told People earlier this week.

During a recent routine examination, doctors discovered Donny had a hemorrhagic polyp — essentially a blood blister on the vocal fold — on his right vocal cord. The father-of-five will soon be treated by Harvard Medical School's Dr. Steven M. Zeitel, who has performed the same surgery on John Mayer and Lionel Richie, his rep revealed.

Despite his injury, Donny will continue performing in the "Donny & Marie" Las Vegas show at the Flamingo Hotel with his sister, Marie Osmond, 55, when the duo return to the stage in October. He may, however, need to reschedule several solo shows in September.
Get well soon, Donny!
