Donald Trump may be the future President — but not of The Trump Organization.
The President-elect took to Twitter on Wednesday, Nov. 30 to announce that he will be leaving his highly-successful business to instead devote all his time to running the US.
"I will be holding a major news conference in NYC with my children on Dec. 15 to discuss the fact that I will be leaving my great business in total in order to fully focus on running the country in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Donald, 70, wrote on the social media platform.

"While I am not mandated to do this under the law, I feel it is visually important, as President, to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses," he continued. "Hence, legal documents are being crafted which take me completely out of business operations. The Presidency is a far more important task!"
This disclosure comes shortly after his daughter Ivanka Trump announced she would not be part of her father's administration. She will instead stay in NYC and continue her role as EVP of The Trump Organization with her two brothers, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. Someone has to stay in charge while dad is gone!
