It seems Don Rickles left the world not with a joke, but a sweet tribute to his wife of more than 50 years, Barbara Rickles.

The iconic comedian sadly died on Thursday, April 6 at age 90 from kidney failure with none other than his lady by his side.

In Don’s last-ever tweet, posted on Saturday, March 11, the star wrote, “We are celebrating our 52nd Wedding Anniversary March 14th. Happy Anniversary my dear wife, Barbara. You are my life.❤️❌⭕Pussycat (Me).” So heartbreaking.

Don and Barbara previously married in 1965 and are parents to a son Larry who sadly passed away in 2011, and a daughter Mindy.
