Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin Have a Mini '9 to 5' Cast Reunion at the SAG Awards

The 9 to 5 girls are back together again!

Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin had a mini cast reunion at the 2017 SAG Awards on Sunday, Jan. 29. The only person missing from their famous trio was Jane Fonda, who was sadly too ill to attend the star-studded event.

Dolly, 71, got a standing ovation from the crowd as she emerged onstage to present her former co-star Lily, 77, with the night’s SAG Lifetime Achievement Award.

“Greetings from Dollywood, Hollywood!” the country star began. “Look at this room, all of these special people. I almost didn’t get in. They kept holding me backstage. They wanted to see my ID — or maybe it was double D’s. I wanted to get that off my chest.”

After explaining Jane, 79, was too sick to help present Lily’s coveted award, Dolly hinted at a 9 to 5 sequel! “People have wanted another 9 to 5, but I think we’d have to call it 95,” she joked.

“Lily’s getting an award I’ve spent my life trying to avoid… sag,” Dolly added — again making reference to her ample cleavage — before welcoming her friend Lily onstage.

“Thank you all so much. How can I possibly express myself after Dolly and you guys?!” Lily began her acceptance speech.

The star went on to offer her “nuggets of wisdom” to younger stars. “Don’t leave the house when you’re drunk and if you’re already out there well you must learn to tell when you’ve had too much to drink,” she said. “And don’t be anxious about missing opportunity. Behind every failure, there is an opportunity someone wishes they missed.”

“Meryl [Streep] is laughing at this and there are absolutely no times she’s had a failure,” Lily joked.

She then gave a sweet shoutout to her wife, writer Jean Wagner. “My partner, Jane Wagner, are whose shoulders I stand the tallest,” Lily said.

“I feel like I’m just getting started… I’m so glad this speech is almost over. We can all go out and really change things. As long as I don’t have to audition, I just may be back. Thank you all,” she concluded.
