For this week's DIY Friday, country singer Matt Rogers headed to Hallmark Channel's hit daytime talk show, Home & Family, to give a tutorial on how to install Rain Chains — the perfect accessories for your home and garden!
Follow the instructions below to install your own Rain Chains.
Materials (available at RainChains.com):
Aluminum Flared Cup
Double Loop Aluminum Rain Chain
Kanji Cups (Copper and Brass)
Unscrew downspout fasteners
Pull downspout away from gutter
Rain chains hang from the hole where the downspout was, using the gutter attachment piece provided
The Installation Kit also provides an outlet tube, preventing water from creeping along the underside of the gutter and dripping off
The Japanese often put a ceramic or stoneware pot beneath the chain which fills with water, so that when it rains, the water drips from the chain into the pot, creating a beautiful display
Watch Matt demonstrate how to install your Rain Chains in the video below!
Home & Family airs weekdays at 10:00 a.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
