Welcome back, Diane Sawyer!
The journalist, 68, will return to ABC World News on Friday, Jan. 23 to present a special report on sex trafficking. This will be Diane's first appearance on the nightly news program since stepping down from her five-year position as anchor on Aug. 27, 2014.

Diane has been keeping a relatively low public profile since her departure from 'World News' and the subsequent deaths of her mother in October 2014 and beloved husband, hollywood director Mike Nichols, last November.
Following the announcement Diane would be leaving her post at 'World News,' the TV icon revealed she would head her own news unit within 'ABC News' and continue to produce and anchor her own specials.

Diane's new 'World News' report will also air on 'Nightline' on Friday, Jan. 23 and on 'Good Morning America,' on Monday, Jan. 26.
