Debbie Reynolds' legacy will live on following her untimely death.
According to the late actress' son, Todd Fisher, her North Hollywood dance studio — which she opened in 1979 — will soon be a museum. The space will serve as a home to her extensive collection of Hollywood memorabilia, such as her SAG Life Achievement Award and costumes from her iconic films, Singin’ in the Rain and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. So exciting!
On December 28, 2016, Debbie, sadly died at 84-years-old after suffering a stroke just one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, passed away from a heart attack at age 60.

According to Debbie's certificate, the Hollywood icon passed away from a blood vessel that ruptured and caused bleeding in her brain. Her official cause of death was an intracerebral hemorrhage from high blood pressure, which is essentially a stroke.

Shortly after Debbie's passing, Todd also revealed the star's last words. "I miss her so much. I want to be with Carrie," Debbie said, according to her boy, before having a stroke.
While she was alive, Debbie was clear that one of her biggest fears in life was to outlive her beloved daughter. "It’s not natural to outlive your child. This has always been my greatest fear... I don’t know if I could survive that," Debbie wrote in her 2013 autobiography, Unsinkable. "Carrie is my child and I love her with every ounce of strength I possess."
