Family TiesDakota Johnson and More Young Stars Head to Hollywood Just Like Their Famous Moms
For some stars, showbiz is a family affair.
Dakota Johnson — the 25-year-old daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson — recently rose to stardom in the hit movie, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ And though her mom admitted she doesn’t want to see the risqué movie, Melanie, 57, assured she is “so proud” of her daughter’s burgeoning career.
“I am so proud of her. She is a really good actress,” Melanie — who started doing nude scenes at age 17 in 1975’s ‘Night Moves’ — said.

“Women should be more confident,” Dakota added, reflecting her mother’s decision to raise her to never be ashamed of her body. “Nudity and sex scenes in movies are beautiful when they’re tastefully done.”
Susan Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri, has similarly taken her famous mom’s advice to heart.

“I listen more now than I did in my early 20s, and I will definitely be imparting the same wisdom to my daughter,” she said of six-month-old Marlowe.
Susan has also taught her actress daughter the importance of staying healthy.

“My emphasis is on being healthy, rather than what you inject or reconstruct,” says the remarkably youthful and natural-looking 68-year-old. “Beauty comes from inside — it has to do with what you take in.” And Susan’s not afraid of aging either. “I look forward to being older, when what you look like becomes less an issue and what you are is the point,” she said.
