You wouldn’t expect to see Dirty Harry and Forrest Gump bonding over beers.
But tightly wound tough guy Clint Eastwood, 85, and easygoing everyman Tom Hanks, 59, have become drinking buddies.
As Clint has been directing Tom in the upcoming film Sully — the true story of Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the pilot who heroically landed his plane on the Hudson River in NYC in 2009 — the Hollywood legends are having a high old time together.

“I just went to the set the other day,” Clint’s daughter Alison Eastwood tells
Closer. “And they’re really happy.”

During 12 hours of shooting at Meehan’s Public House in Atlanta recently, “they were joined at
the hip all day,” says general manager Ian Macken. “They constantly gravitated toward each other.”
Macken adds that Tom even playfully calls Clint “Boss.”
