Christina El Moussa Vows to Focus on Her Kids Amid Tarek El Moussa Divorce — “It’s Really Important”

Christina El Moussa's New Year's resolution is to focus on her family despite her surprise divorce from husband Tarek El Moussa.

The 33-year-old Flip or Flop star took to Instagram on Wednesday, Jan. 11 to share a sweet new photo of her daughter, Taylor, 6, with her more than 600,000 followers.

"A lot going on lately… But making time for what's important is what's really important," Christina — who also shares a one-year-old son, Brayden, with ex Tarek — captioned the cute snapshot.

"Wishing you and your family all the best! I know these situations are never easy, and I can imagine it must be so much harder going through it in the public eye," one fan commented on the image. "I hope that people can understand this and send words of encouragement rather than their negative opinions, that's not helping anything. Keep your head up and stay strong! Your babies are lucky to have two loving parents no matter what!"

"[We] will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together," the couple said in a joint statement at the time of their split.

It was further revealed that the duo actually separated in May 2016 — seven months before their divorce went public — following a scary domestic incident in their California home where police responded to "a call of a possibly suicidal male with a gun."

"Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed," they added in their statement.
