Oh No!Chrissy Teigen Mommy-Shamed for Holding Baby Luna Wrong — See the Picture

Poor Chrissy Teigen.

The 31-year-old new mom has unfortunately been the focus of mommy-shamers since, it seems, her daughter Luna‘s April 2016 birth.

Over the weekend, Chrissy was criticized on social media for her parenting yet again, leading many people to subsequently reference an October 2016 picture of Chrissy holding her baby daughter the “wrong” way.

Last fall, the model and her husband, singer John Legend, 38, stepped out in NYC with little Luna — and the photographs of Chrissy carrying her infant daughter made major headlines.

“This is not how a baby is held,” a mom-shamer tweeted to the star at the time. “I don’t give a crap where that baby popped out from! Do not hold a baby like a handbag!”

Chrissy was quick to respond to the criticism with a tweet of her own. “Well, you hold your handbag like a f**king idiot then,” she wrote on the micro-blogging site.

“Nothing grinds my [gears] like a person holding a baby inappropriately!” the follower continued. “I almost grew up deformed because I dislocated my arm for two days as a baby!”

“Let me know how you hold your baby when she’s about [to get] into a stroller and there are 20 camera flashes at night,” Chrissy responded to her hater. “Photos are literally split-second moments in time that evolve. I despise mommy shamers. I am a proud shamer of mommy shamers. Please, do shut up.”

Earlier this month, Chrissy bravely revealed she battled postpartum depression after giving birth to Luna, now 11 months, last year. “I couldn’t figure out why I was so unhappy. I blamed it on being tired and possibly growing out of [my career]: ‘Maybe I’m just not a goofy person anymore. Maybe I’m just supposed to be a mom,'” Chrissy said.

“When I wasn’t [working], I never left the house. I mean, never. Not even a tiptoe outside. I’d ask people who came inside why they were wet. Was it raining? How would I know — I had every shade closed,” she continued.

“Postpartum does not discriminate. I couldn’t control it. And that’s part of the reason it took me so long to speak up: I felt selfish, icky, and weird saying aloud that I’m struggling. Sometimes I still do,” Chrissy added.
