Cher came under fire earlier this week for publishing an offensive tweet about the tragic Istanbul bombing. And now she's apologizing for her insensitive remark.
"[I've] been thinking about my poorly placed, insensitively timed bomb
emoji. No excuse. 💔 I’m used to using emoji to help [me] say more than [the allowed] 140 letters. Sorry. 😥," the 70-year-old singer wrote via Twitter on Wednesday, June 29.

Cher previously angered fans when she tweeted, "We all pray for [the] innocent people in [the] Turkey airport," with a bomb emoji included in her message.
