After more than 50 years in the spotlight, the singer just announced a musical about her prolific life and career will be coming to Broadway next year. "Just got off phone with writer and director of musical. There will be performance in theatre with actors, dancers, [and] singers — it'll be on Broadway [in] 2018," Cher revealed via Twitter on Tuesday, June 6.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Cher lamented she doesn't like "getting old." "I’m shocked that I can still run across the stage at my age. I thought I’d be dead!" she said.

The music legend additionally revealed she doesn't like Cher (yes, you read that right) or being known as a music icon. "I’m not a Cher fan. I just don’t think my aesthetic taste lies in her direction," she admitted.
"'Icon' is a stupid word," Cher said. "Things just didn’t come easily to me. I made lots of mistakes."
Though Cher — aka the Goddess of Pop — is one of the most successful singers ever with 25 hit albums and more than 100 million records sold worldwide, she confessed she has a few regrets about her past.

"When I think about my life, it was a really good life. It was hard. It was crazy. And it was laced with amazing and treacherous and sad [things], like everybody’s life," the "Believe" songstress said.
One of the "treacherous" times she endured was her 1975 divorce from Sonny Bono. "Maybe we should have never been husband and wife. Sonny could be the best person you ever met — the funniest, the most adorable. Or not. He was like the little girl with the curl," Cher said.
