Will Charlize Theron‘s next trip to the big screen be with Christian Grey?

In a new interview with E! News, the 39-year-old actress addressed the recent rumors that she’ll star in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey sequel — and sadly confirmed she isn’t appearing in the new flick.

“I hadn’t heard that one,” she said of the gossip. “Wow, I’m just learning so much about myself on this carpet tonight.

“I’m going to play the kinky guy with the room. I need to stretch. I need to find something outside of the box,” she joked.

Fifty Shades Darker — a follow-up to February 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey — is set to hit theaters in 2017 with leads Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan reprising their roles as love interests Anastasia and Christian, respectively.
