11 Characters You Never Realized Were Played by Twins

Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush played Carrie Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie.

They landed the role after someone from the show saw their commercials and reached out to them!

"Sidney and I had done both commercials and a movie of the week Called Sunshine with Cliff De Young. Michael Landon saw it and asked us to interview for Little House," Lindsay said.

Emelia and Layla Golfieri played Edie in Grandfathered.

While they enjoyed working on the set, there was one particular episode that was tough for them to film.

“The first two days, the girls had not really done anything to this extent and they didn’t know the cast well yet. They were looking for a scene that was important for the storyline, but all the girls did was scream the whole time. They almost didn’t get [the part],” their mother Nicole said.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen played Michelle Tanner in Full House.

Did you know that John Stamos tried to get the Olsen twins fired at one point?

“It’s sort of true that the Olsen twins cried a lot. It was very difficult to get the shot. So I [said], ‘Get them out…!’ . . . They brought in a couple of unattractive redheaded kids. We tried that for a while and that didn’t work. [Producers] were like, all right, get the Olsen twins back. And that’s the story,” John said.

Dashiell and Fox Messitt play Tommy Fuller Jr. on Fuller House.

These babies made some of their biggest milestones while working on the show!

“When they started at seven months old, they didn’t even know how to crawl. And in the process of doing the show they started crawling and started walking. So [there were] a lot of milestones while they were working," the boys' mother, Kacy Andrews, said.

Evan and Ryder Londo played Abel Teller on Sons of Anarchy.

"The weird thing for me is that in the show they play such a sad character, but in real life they are the exact opposite,” their dad Tom Londo said.

Joseph and Michael Mayer played Little Ricky in I Love Lucy.

The twins actually made their on-screen debut on the show. After three seasons, however, their parents decided to pull them out because they worried the boys might not become "functional adults."

Dylan and Cole Sprouse played Julian 'Frankenstien' McGrath on Big Daddy.

From the moment they met Adam Sandler, they immediately hit it off!

"I met 'em and I was like, 'You guys want to do this?' And they said, 'Yes.' 'Do you like to eat, food?' And they said, 'Yes.' 'Do you mind if I eat a lot of food?' And they said, 'That's fine.' And I said, 'Let's do this thing.' And we all high-fived. I met their grandmother. That was in their contract, that their grandmother watched them on the set —because I have some weird thing where I feel I need to be accepted. So their grandmother would come up and kiss me — and that would make me feel better about myself — and we could work," Adam said.

Michelle and Lisa Blair played the baby in Three Men and a Baby.

The sisters are now all grown up, and they recalled not thinking it was a huge deal that they starred in the classic film.

"At first, when we were little, it wasn't a big deal to us at all," Michelle, who now works in the insurance industry, revealed. "I think it was when we became teenagers, people started coming up to us a lot more," Michelle said.

The Saunders triplets played Baby Harry Potter in Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone.

The siblings (whose names were never listed) consist of two boys and one girl. They were all credited together as the actor for Baby Harry Potter.

Noelle and Cali Sheldon played Emma Geller-Green on Friends.

The girls were treated like royalty on the set, according to their mom!

"Everyone was really, really nice to Noelle and Cali, and treated them like little princesses on the set. [Friends] filmed before a live audience, and Cali and Noelle would come out, and they would be waving and engaging with the live audience. It was a lot of fun," their mom Gretchen Carpenter said.

Travis and James Riker played Baby William in The X-Files.

They boys are now full-time models, and believe it or not, they've never even seen a full episode of the show!

"We've seen some fan footage of us from all the episodes that's pretty cool. But never seen the whole show," Travis said.
