At the American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 22, Céline Dion stole the world's hearts with an emotional performance of late singer Edith Piaf's "Hymne a L'Amour."

The 47-year-old singer—who was born in Charlemagne, Quebec—sang the melody (entirely in French!) as a tribute to all those affected by the tragic terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, Nov. 13.

Céline's astonishing performance—which was accompanied by a montage of heartwarming photos taken in the "City of Light"—concluded with a standing ovation from the visibly emotional crowd.
