Get well soon, Celine Dion! The 49-year-old star is taking a few days off from her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace while she recovers from a virus, according to TMZ. Celine reportedly canceled her Saturday, Jan. 6 concert because of the illness and is still at home recuperating. Sources told TMZ that Celine was visiting with her doctor on Monday and hoped to resume her show schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 9.

The news of Celine’s unfortunate ill health comes just weeks after she took time off from her Vegas residency to celebrate Christmas with her three sons and extended family at a resort in Montana’s Rocky Mountains. A friend of the songstress exclusively told Closer Weekly that spending the holidays in Montana is a “family tradition” for Celine because the Yellowstone Club resort was beloved by her late husband, René Angélil.

“Celine still feels René’s presence in Montana. René loved going there. He loved skiing with them, relaxing, and spending Christmas together as a family. She wants the boys to maintain that connection to their father. This was his happy place. Last year when Celine returned for the first time since René died, she said she could feel him watching over her and her boys,” the friend revealed. Celine shares sons René-Charles, 16, and twins Eddy and Nelson, 7, with René, who sadly died at age 73 on Jan. 14, 2016 after battling cancer.

According to Celine’s friend, the proud mom has been working hard with her children to keep René’s spirit alive. To do so, she’d remained upbeat and encourages her sons to remember happy memories of their dad. “When she talks about René in front of the children, it is always with a smile. Of course, Celine has moments where she cries to other adults, but you would never know it around the boys… When she’s not working, she’s focused on being the best mom she can be to those kids.”
