Céline Dion's husband, music manager René Angélil, is recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a throat tumor on Dec. 23.
This is the 72-year-old's second bout with throat cancer after first being diagnosed in 1999.
In a statement, Dion shared that her husband of nearly 20 years is focusing on his recuperation rather than business.
"I don't want René to stress out with work-related issues," she said. "I want him to focus on getting back to 100%. I've been doing my shows at the Colosseum [in Vegas] and everything's under control."
The My Heart Will Go On singer, who has been performing in Vegas since 2011, also shared that the pair are focused on their family, which includes 13-year-old son René-Charles and 4-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson.
"At home we've been spending a lot of quality time with the family," Dion said. "We feel very fortunate that we've been able to get the best care possible and we thank God every day for helping us get through this ordeal."
