Céline Dion and her kids have released an emotional statement thanking fans for their unconditional love and support following René Angélil's tragic death.
"My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days. We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time... more than you'll ever know. I thank you from the bottom of my heart," the 47-year-old singer wrote in a message posted on her official website on Friday, Jan. 29.

"I would also like to sincerely thank the Quebec Government for honoring René with National Funerals as well as the many individuals and organizations who came together to hold such a beautiful tribute in his name. We will never forget all of the kindness that you have bestowed upon us," the note continued.

The heartbreaking statement is signed by Céline, her three sons, René-Charles, 15, and twins Eddy and Nelson, both 5, as well as René's three older children, Patrick, 47 (with his first wife, Denyse Duquette), Jean Pierre, 42, and Anne-Marie, 38 (with his second wife, Anne Renée).
René sadly died on Thursday, Jan. 14 after a long battle with throat cancer. He was 73-years-old.
