It's a girl!
Cate Blanchett and her husband, Andrew Upton, recently welcomed a new addition to their family with the adoption of a baby girl. The couple are already parents to three sons, Dashiell, 13, Roman, 10, and Ignatius, six.
"The Upton family (Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton) have adopted a baby girl," the actress' rep confirmed to 'Us Weekly' on Friday, March 6. "No further details will be provided."

The 'Cinderella' star 45, has reportedly told friends at her sons' school in Sydney, Australia that she and Andrew, 49, are "deliriously happy" to have given their boys a little sister.
"She's really excited and clearly besotted," a source told 'The Australian Women's Weekly.'

On March 3, a Twitter user took to the micro-blogging site to reveal he had spotted the Oscar-winning actress with a baby at LAX.
"Just getting on a flight at LAX and #cateblanchett is on board. With a tiny baby," the tweet read.

In a 2010 interview, Cate opened up about being a mom-of-three and admitted she was "open" to having more children in the future.
"It’s true you do get a bit demented [with three boys]. The chaos of it is great," she told 'W Magazine.'
