Carrie Underwood Says She's Too Pregnant to Go to the Grammys - Closer Weekly

In a new interview, Carrie Underwood revealed she’s “too pregnant” to attend this year’s Grammy Awards and will be watching the show at home instead!

“I wish I could go to the Grammys, but travel’s kind of out for me at this point,” she said. “It’s tempting, but I can’t fly that far away this late in my pregnancy.”

“I’ll be in my pajamas watching it from the comfort of my couch,” Carrie, 31, added.

Carrie showed off her growing baby bump in December 2014.

The country star, who is expecting her first child — a baby boy! — with husband Mike Fisher, 34, joked that she might even get dressed up for the occasion even though she isn’t going.

“You know, I should just get all dressed up anyways. I should get my hair and makeup done, and get a dress and watch it from my couch all dressed up like I’m there!” she said.

Carrie won the Best Country Solo Performance Grammy in 2013.

This year, Carrie is nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her song “Somethin’ Bad” with Miranda Lambert and the Best Country Solo Performance award for “Something In the Water.”

The ‘American Idol’ alum has already won six Grammy Awards including the 2007 honor for Best New Artist.
