In an exclusive new interview with Closer Weekly, the 41-year-old actress confessed it was taxing to fly from LA to NYC each week to appear as a co-host on the popular program.
"I can't say that I miss the schedule. I think that has been the best part of not being there — that schedule is really tough for me to fly coast to coast every single week," Candace told Closer on Tuesday, May 30.

"Of course, there are certain aspects of the show that I do miss. I tune in every once in a while and [the current hosts are] holding it down," she continued. "Sometimes I still get riled up watching it as well [and say], 'Oh, if I were only there in that seat!' But I'm not and that's OK, I'm perfectly happy not at The View right now.
When asked if she'd be interested in returning to the show as a guest-host in the future, Candace replied, "Yes, I'm sure [I would]!"

"It wasn't an easy decision. Before I started The View, I already had my commitments to Fuller House and the Hallmark Channel... Because of the success of those, my commitments have become even greater with those shows," Candace said at the time.
"I [also] want to make sure I'm able to spend enough time with my children," she continued. "I thank everybody — Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar... for welcoming me to this table. I've learned so much from you and I'm so grateful for you."
