It took Cameron Diaz 20 years to take off her clothes for a film, so you can bet the actress didn't take the decision to go nude in her new flick lightly!
When quizzed about the scenes in Sex Tape, Cameron's defensive over her choice not to use a body double.
"I'm not really naked — it's just my butt!" the blonde beauty says, adding, "It's not an objectification. If I had done it another time, if I was a young girl who was taking off my clothes to be sexy in a movie — that never felt right to me."
Despite overtly sexual roles in films like Bad Teacher and The Counselor, Cameron felt, for the first time, getting naked in Sex Tape made sense.
"For me, this is about two people who are in a loving relationship, being playful with one another and showing how much they love each other," she shares of the scenes between her and Jason Segel, who plays her husband in the movie.
One thing Cameron didn't have to fret over when preparing for the role: getting in shape! The Charlie's Angels star looks half her age at 41, but refuses to shy away from embracing her expanding wrinkles.
“I like being forty-one. I love it. So much shit just falls away. Fear, mostly,” she told Esquire magazine earlier this month.
“It’s the best age," Cameron added. "That’s when a woman knows how to work things, or she doesn’t care about that anymore. You just stop being afraid. You don’t worry about what men think."
