Get well soon, Brooke Shields!
The 50-year-old actress took to Instagram on Monday, Nov. 30, to share photos of herself with heavily-bandaged wrists after undergoing Carpal tunnel surgery—and we can't get over how tough she's being through all this!
"Double wrist surgery....carpal tunnel in both! Relieved!" she captioned one snapshot on the photo-sharing site of herself displaying her bandaged wrists.
"Told to wear these double arm slings," Brooke captioned a subsequent photo. "Feels like a self love exercise!"
Brooke has been battling Carpel tunnel syndrome for years—she even mentioned the diagnosis in her 2005 biography Down Came The Rain, where she revealed the pain she endured made it difficult to care for her eldest daughter, Rowan, now 12.
"I was still experiencing severe Carpal tunnel syndrome, and my hands were unbelievably numb," she wrote in the book, adding her hands "looked like they belonged to an old prizefighter, and since I had hardly any feeling in them, I couldn’t manipulate Rowan’s harness or diaper effectively."
We wish Brooke a speedy and painless recovery!
