In an exclusive new interview with Closer Weekly, Blythe Danner credits the loss of her beloved husband Bruce Paltrow, who passed away 15 years ago, for reaffirming her most important life lesson: “Keep going; put one foot in front of the other and keep going.”

The actress, 75, certainly has taken that idea to heart. With the support of her “wonderful children,” Gwyneth Paltrow, 45, and Jake Paltrow, 42, and her “four fabulous grandkids,” she’s still working steadily.

“[I’m] very excited about it,” says Blythe, who plays a grandmother stricken with Alzheimer’s in her latest role, and will return later this season to play Will’s mom, Marilyn Truman, on Will & Grace. “You know, I see so many friends of mine who are around my age who have decided to pull away [from work] and I think, ‘No! Keep at it!’ ” Blythe says. “I think that’s what keeps us young!”
