After 11 years of marriage, comedian Bill Hader and his wife, Maggie Carey, have decided to divorce, his rep confirmed to [People](http://people.com/tv/bill-hader-maggie-carey-divorcing/?utmcampaign=peoplemagazine&utmsource=twitter.com&utmmedium=social&xid=socialflowtwitterpeoplemag)_ on Friday, Nov. 17. The couple has reportedly been separated since July and they are now in the process of legally divorcing. Bill, 39, and Maggie, 42, previously tied the knot in 2006 and are parents to three daughters, Hannah, 8, Harper, 5, and Hayley, 3, together.

Bill and Maggie — who works as a filmmaker — were introduced in LA by a mutual friend and they later moved to NYC for the actor’s Saturday Night Live gig. After Bill left SNL in 2013, the family moved back to the West Coast. “The whole reason we’re moving to California is that we’re tired of being apart all he time. Doing SNL was a huge time commitment. You’d have weeks off and you’d have to go to LA. It’s about rolling with the punches,” he previously told USA Today.

During the marriage, Bill and Maggie also worked together on the 2013 romantic comedy The To Do List. The film, which Maggie wrote and directed, starred Bill alongside Parks and Recreation actress Aubrey Plaza. “He has to be in everything I do,” Maggie told USA Today of working with her husband to which Bill sweetly replied, “I’ll be in all your movies.” During another interview with People, Bill shared his parenting advice. “Whatever your wife asks, say yes. Just say yes and your life will be so much easier. If your wife asks you to drive to LAX at 2 a.m. to pick up a piece of luggage, do it!” he joked. We’re so bummed Bill and Maggie have decided to split!
