Fixer Upper couple Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines have big news to share with fans!
The HGTV stars recently revealed that their hit show is getting a spin-off. Fixer Upper: Behind the Design will focus on the designs featured in each episode of Fixer Upper and will serve as a companion 30 minute long series for viewers.
"We have a lot of questions about the designs and what goes on on Fixer Upper and how we get from point A to Z when it comes to these houses, these projects from a design point," Joanna explained in an Instagram post. "[The series] focuses on each project, and you get more inside scoop on how we came about with a lot of the decisions and design elements that we got to incorporate."
Fans immediately took to the comments to show their excitement for the new series. One commenter wrote, "You guys are the real deal, love your show. Can hardly wait for Behind the Design!" While another added, "This is just the best news, Joanna! You are such an inspiration — can't wait to learn more about the design process!"
The couple has been open about the fact that their path to success hasn't always been an easy one.
"I remember when we first got married the only money we had was what was in Chip’s pocket," Joanna previously admitted. "He always had a wad of cash, but we were broke. If I needed to go grocery shopping it’s whatever was in his pocket. That’s how we paid the bills."
Chip added, "All of this sort of fell into our laps... We were just living our life out here in little bitty Waco, TX. We had dreams and aspirations like most folks, but this has really been something else."
We can't wait to watch their new show — make sure to tune into HGTV on Tuesday, March 28, at 11 p.m. EST, for a sneak peak of Fixer Upper: Behind the Design!
